Dr. Louis Hampers attended Dartmouth College, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in 1987. He then went on to receive dual degrees, one in Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine one in Business Administration from the Wharton School. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and his sub-specialty training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
In 1995, he spent a year working as a Medical Officer at the Presbyterian Church of East Africa Chogoria Hospital located in Kenya. After finishing his sub-specialty training in Chicago, he proceeded to join the faculty at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and there he became an Associate Professor in 2007.
Dr. Hampers was responsible for roles that included Medical Director of the Emergency Department at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado and also Section Head of the Section of Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
